Hannah Cahill was born in London and began learning the piano at the age of 11. She studied music at Edinburgh University under the direction of Peter Nelson and John Kitchen where she gained a Bachelor of Music degree specialising in 16th century counterpoint and electroacoustic composition.

Hannah has been teaching privately for a number of years, with a particular focus on integrating theory, history, harmony and social context from the start, in order to create a deeper understanding of the music and gain an overall appreciation for the subject.

In addition to her private teaching, Hannah has worked in many schools in both Edinburgh and London, running workshops and music clubs. She has also spent time working in Edinburgh's children's hospital, using music as part of the rehabilitation process.

Lucinda Ross was born in Perth, Scotland. After initially studying piano and percussion, Lucinda developed an interest in composition and was accepted to study a Bachelor of Music degree at Edinburgh University under the instruction of Peter Nelson and Nigel Osborne. After receiving a bursary to study with Miguel Mera at Dartington International Summer School in 2008, Lucinda gained an interest in film composition and since then this has primarily been her focus. Her Postgraduate Degree in Composition and Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music, London, gave her the opportunity to work with composers such as Kenneth Hesketh and Howard Davidson.

Lucinda is also an active concert hall composer and was recently awarded the BBC Choral Ambition Award, commissioning 'Music of the Hills' and 'Mountains I love' performed by the Helensburgh Dorian Choir. Other recent performances have included 'Song for Strathearn', for piano and flute, 'The Waves', performed in the Britten Theatre, London and 'A Dinner to remember', a fifteen minute opera, performed in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as part of the 'opera shorts' project.
