The Beer & Bach Series

"it was... well written, well presented and hugely enjoyable." - read full review here .

The first series of Beer & Bach is now finished. Please check back soon or follow us on Facebook or Twitter for info on the new series starting this autumn.

This is a series of talks for adults on music history with a bit of a twist (and maybe a slice of lime). Each talk will focus on a different period of Western music history including interesting facts and anecdotes about the composers and their music.

All the talks in this series are specifically designed for those with little or no prior knowledge of classical music. If you like listening to Mozart and just want to find out a bit more about him and his music then this is for you.

There is one talk each month over a pint in the pub. Talks last roughly one hour but we hope you will stick around afterwards and test our knowledge further!

Previous Beer & Bach dates:

  • Thursday 30th June 2011 - Rum & Reich
  • Thursday 12th May 2011 - Shots & Shostakovich
  • Thursday 24th February 2011 - Rose & Rossini
