In the afternoon we will be recording your songs for you to take home with you and impress your friends!
Created as a two-day course for children aged 6-10 during the Autumn Half Term, Pirates is a musical experience that includes activities on rhythm, song, dance and action, an instrument making workshop and a spectacular performance at the end. We had a great time at Pirates! - making all sorts of instruments and hats for the big performance for friends and family at the end of the two days.

17/10/10 - children's music workshop at St John's An hour long workshop with children of all ages using a variety of exercises and games which feature in our one and two day workshops. 26/09/10 - Run to the beat half marathon Lucy and some friends of cactus ran a half marathon in aid of Unicef. It was a great day and we raised lots of money so thanks to everyone who supported us!

We had fantastic performances in our end of year concert, solos, duets, jazz, pop and classical! Thanks to everyone for making it such an enjoyable afternoon.
Bugs! - The Musical in a Day

Bugs! - The Musical in a Day - A brand new musical extravaganza, written by Lucy and the rest of the Cactus team, Bugs! is a one day event for children aged 5-10. The children will be learning about music whilst putting on a musical, making their instruments and set, singing, dancing and acting!
So You Want To Write A Song...? 24/02/11
Specifically designed for young people aged 11-16, this is a one day song writing course. The morning will be spent learning the basics so whether you are a musical whizz or have never touched a guitar before, we will get you playing!
The 1st annual cactus Piano Competition!12/02/11
Categories are grades 1-3 standard and grade 4+ standard. Competitors are required to perform one piece each for our judges.
